Word - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 1, 1979 The funeral of Robert A. Word, 62, was held Sunday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home, Tallulah. Mr. Word died Friday afternoon in Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss. after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Marvel, Ark., a resident of Tallulah, a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera Word of Tallulah; two sons, Jerry Word of Tallulah and Bob Word of Killeen, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Blackburn of Bossier City and Mrs. Diane Young of Houston; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Rayborn of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a brother, John Word of Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. Billy Austin of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mrs. Joe Stray of Greenville, Miss., Mrs. Joe Mackovic of Pensacola, Fla., and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gene Butler, James Stroud, Bobby Ezell, Billy Post, Tolbert Williams and Roy Erwin.
