Word - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 23, 1994 Funeral services for Mr. Jerry W. Word, 53, were held Thursday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Word, an electrical contractor and owner of W & W Electric, died March 15. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Word of Tallulah; two sons: Michael W. Word of Zachary and Lane Word of Tallulah; his mother; Vera W Word of Tallulah; a brother Bob Word of Killeen, Texas; two sisters, JoAnn Pittman and Dyanne Duncan, both of Bossier City. Pallbearers were Shorty Erwin, Virgil Neumann, Johnny Foster, Billy Ray Arender, Dick Brown and Bill Ziegler. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Conway, Tolbert Williams, Racer Holstead, Shorty Jackson, Boss Martin, Willis Foster, James Reeves, Pete Norris, Payton Carney, Dickie Harris, James Morse, Bruce Wallace, James Stroud, Tom Miller and L. J. Thompson.
