Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post April 15, 2012 TALLULAH, La. — Perry O. Williams of Tallulah died Friday, April 13, 2012, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg after a lengthy illness. He was 88. Mr. Williams was born in Iowa and lived in Tallulah for 58 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving the Construction Battalion in the Pacific Theater. After the war he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired Louisiana Probation and Parole supervisor, and taught at Tallulah High School and Tallulah Academy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tallulah. Survivors include a son, E. Perry Williams of Tallulah; and a daughter, Sandra Williams Wilkins of Tallulah; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John Wilkins officiating. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah has charge of the arrangements.
