Williamson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 10, 1967 Funeral Services Held Sunday For N. H. Williamson Funeral services for Noel M. Williamson, 85, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John S. Hurt and Rev. Jackie Haye officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Williamson died Friday night in the Madison Parish Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Simpson County, Miss., but had lived in Madison Parish for the past 35 years. He was a retired farmer, member of the Methodist Church, and the Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Williamson, Tallulah; six sons, Estus Williamson, Chester Williamson, Carley Williamson, Cordes Williamson, Jesse Williamson, and Huey Williamson, all of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Evon Purvis, Transylvania and Mrs. James Walker, Oak Grove; one brother, Don Williamson, Eureka, California; two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Roberts, Magee, Miss.; and Mrs. Leona Crane, Lake Providence; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
