Williamson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 27, 1961 Rites for E. E. Williamson Held Monday Afternoon Funeral services for Emanuel E. Williamson, 91, prominent Madison Parish resident, who died early Sunday at his home, 511 LaSalle Street, were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Wilson Watson officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Parkerson, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial was held in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Williamson was a retired planter and owned plantations in Richland and East Carroll Parishes. He was a native of Collins, Miss., and had lived in Louisiana since 1900. He came to Tallulah in 1924. He was a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church, a member of the Men's Bible Class, a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Knights of Temple Commandery of Monroe. Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Murphy E. Williamson; two sons, Thomas E. Williamson of Winnsboro, and Albert Sidney Williamson of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Maxwell Yerger of Tallulah, and Mrs. Harold Davis of Greenville, Miss.; a brother, Gann Williamson of Vicksburg, Miss., and four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Dr. H. S. Provine, Arnold Shields, W. E. Regenold, J. C. Sherwin, Rufus Yerger, George Yerger, Edward Yerger, William Yerger and Mercer Rich. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tallulah Methodist Church Men's Bible Class.
