All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Carley Williamson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 2, 1997 Funeral services for Carley Williamson, 79 of Tallulah, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday April 2, in the chapel of Crothers-Glennwood funeral home with Rev. John Rushing and Rev. Arthur West officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Williamson died Monday, March 31, 1997, in Park View Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss., after a lengthy illness. He was born in Forrest and had lived in Madison Parish for 60 years. He was a retired farmer, sawmill foreman and grocer. He was an army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Carley Darryl Williamson and Richard Wayne Williamson of Tallulah; a daughter, Brenda Elizabeth Harvey of Tallulah; two sisters, Bessie Lee Purvis of Alsatia and Florence Walker of Oak Grove; two brothers, Cordes Earl Williamson and Estus Williamson of Tallulah and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loyce Daniels Williamson, and his son, Gary Richard Williamson.
