All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Leona DeLell Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 1, 1960 Mrs. Leona Williams Dies Recently In Vicksburg Home Mrs. Leona DeLell Williams, 66, died in a Vicksburg nursing home Sunday morning after a long illness. She was a native of Port Gibson and had lived in Madison Parish for the past 40 years. She was a registered nurse and a one-time operator of the Madison Sanitarium. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p. m. at the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Barnes and Rev. Nathan Henderson, Jr., officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Zadie Floyd, Port Gibson, Miss., one brother, J. B. Jobe, Sr., Tallulah, and two grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Tech Fondren, Jerry Standfield, Richard Marshall, Tommy Williams, Wright Peters and James K. Dear.
