Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 3, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Florence L. Williams, age 73, of Tallulah, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, in Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Lillard Bevel officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Williams died Sunday night, May 31, 1998, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Alabama and had lived in Tallulah for 45 years. She was a retired secretary for the USDA and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include her husband, Perry O. Williams of Tallulah; one son, E. Perry Williams of Tallulah; one daughter, Sandra W Wilkins of Tallulah; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Edna Hooks of Dothan, Ala., Nell Vandergrift and Floy Pollock, both of Montgomery, Ala., and Lula Kate Adams of Louisville, Ala. Pallbearers were Bill Laminack, Jim Sevier, Bill Colligan, Jimmy Wilkins, James Ragsdale and Lamar Walters. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
