All rights reserved. ************************************************ James M. “Jimmie” Willhite Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, October 11, 2006 TALLULAH - Services for James M. “Jimmie” Willhite Jr. were this morning at 10 at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Cletus Moak officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah after Masonic ceremonies. Mr. Willhite died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center. He was 79. Born in Ouachita Parish, Mr. Willhite had lived in Madison Parish most of his life. He served in the Army Air Force as an airplane armor mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. He was past master of Tallulah Lodge No. 308 and Pioneer Lodge; a former 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; and a Shriner. He served as district grand lecturer of the Grand Lodge, State of Louisiana, for a number of years. Mr. Willhite was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Etta Willhite; three brothers, Oliver Willhite, Derwood Willhite and George Willhite; two sisters, Juanita White and Carrie DeJura; and a son, Harvey Dale Willhite. He is survived by his wife, Alma Jewel Willhite; two sons, James Michael Willhite of Swartz, La., and Henry Arthur of MerRouge, La.; four brothers, Orien D. Willhite of Zwolle, La., John A. Willhite of Tallulah, Charles Willhite of Columbia, La., and Glen Willhite of Carthage; two sisters, Emma Lou Dowda of Ruston, La., and Jeanette Ward of Las Vegas. Pallbearers were Kenny Smith, David Mahoney, Jim Wood, Buddy Caldwell, Don Butler, Donnie Ellerman, Clint Johnson, Roy McDuffie, Leonard Miller and Jerry Strong.
