All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ George "Tut" Willhite - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 7, 1986 Services for George "Tut" Wilhite, 54, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. O. B. Robertson officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of the funeral home. Masonic graveside services were under the direction of Tallulah Lodge No. 308 with the Rev. Donnie Ellerman officiating. He died Thursday at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a long illness. Mr. Wilhite was a native of West Monroe, resident of Madison Parish for six years, oil field worker and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Flowers Landing Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jennie L. Wilhite of Tallulah; mother, Etta Mae Wilhite of Tallulah; one son, George L. Wilhite Jr. of Tallulah; one daughter, Betty Sue Kirks of Houston ; two stepsons, Charles Stanfield of Tallulah and Jerry Lynn Stanfield of West Monroe; seven brothers, Oran D. Wilhite of Zwolle, Oliver M. Wilhite of Columbia, S.C., Durwood Wilhite, John A. Wilhite, James M. Wilhite Jr., all of Tallulah, Charles S. Wilhite of Columbia and Glen W. Wilhite of Newellton; three sisters, Carrie Mae DeJura of Hollywood, Emma Lou Dowda of Ruston and Janette Ward of Gilmer, Texas; eight grandchildren.
