All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Lucille “Miss Lucy” Ellerman Wilhite - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post April 21, 2009 TALLULAH — Lucille "Miss Lucy" Ellerman Wilhite died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Tallulah. She was 88. Born in Winnsboro, La., Mrs. Wilhite was a longtime resident of Madison Parish. She was a lifetime member of the Madison Chapter No. 94 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Derwood Wilhite Sr.; her parents, Augusta and Frank Ellerman; five brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by two sons, Derwood Wilhite Jr. of Tallulah and Weldon Barry Wilhite of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Keri Wilhite Walters, Lt. Barry Wilhite, Sharon Wilhite Wade, Brandi Wilhite Knaus and Spc. 4 Derwood James “Dub” Wilhite; two stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service. Pallbearers will be Scott Cobb, Scott Wallace, J.T. Odell, Dub Wilhite, Mike Wilhite, Barry Wilhite, Marshall Walters and Dustin Knaus.
