Whitfield - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post December 20, 2008 TALLULAH — Marvin C. Whitfield died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Tallulah. He was 95. Mr. Whitfield was born Bay St. Louis and had lived in Tallulah for 58 years. He was a retired bookkeeper for the Coca-Cola Company in Tallulah, and was a World War II veteran. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Dicks Whitfield. He is survived by a son, Charles Whitfield of Brooksville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Burial, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah, will follow. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Pallbearers will be John Ziegler, Bill Ziegler, Joel Whitfield, Jeffrey Whitfield and Tommy Bishop.
