All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Lillian Dicks Whitfield - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 9, 1995 Services for Lillian Dicks Whitfield were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John Allen officiating. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Whitfield died Friday, Aug. 4, 1995, at her home in Tallulah. She was 78. Mrs. Whitfield was born in Lake Providence and had lived in Tallulah for 45 years. She had worked as a food service supervisor for the Madison Parish School Board. Mrs. Whitfield was a member of Tallulah Presbyterian Church. She was a regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a board member of the Madison Historical Society and a member of Town and Country Club. Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her husband, Marvin C. Whitfield of Tallulah; one son, Charles M. Whitfield of Winona, Miss; one brother, William C. Purdy Jr. of Tallulah; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Tallulah Presbyterian Church.
