All rights reserved. ************************************************ Daniel Buford White - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, August 21, 2006 TALLULAH - Daniel Buford White died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 86. Mr. White had worked as a merchant and/or owner of a dry goods store and grocery store. He had also worked as a motel landscaper. He was a first sergeant in the Army and was a veteran of World War II, serving in Germany and France. He served two terms as city councilman of Tallulah and was a deacon and member at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Ella R. White; and a son, Benny Ray White. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Edith White; three sons, Daniel B. White Jr. and Russell L. “Rusty” White, both of Tallulah, and Mary DeWayne White of Monroe; one sister, Jewel Pierce of Lake Providence; thee stepbrothers, Carl Myers and H.A. Myers, both of Port Neches, Texas, and Junior Myers of Lake Providence; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be George Glass, Tommy Dunning, Shelby Holmes, Todd Beene, Buddy Caldwell and Mark Holmes. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. L.P. Neumann Jr. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Tallulah.
