Funeral services for Mr. Wesley Edward Whitaker, age 83, will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Bruce Wallace officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Wesley loved and cared deeply for his family and many friends. He loved fishing, hunting, picking up pecans each year with his youngest sister, Connie, gardening, farming, mowing, and visiting with his family and many friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laverne Whitaker, and two sisters, Dora Koelher and Paula Ainsworth.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Whitaker; three children, Quinn Whitaker (Alice), Glenda Randall (Mike), and Ouida Faye Cassino (Frank); three brothers, James Whitaker, Melvin Whitaker, and Carlton Whitaker; two sisters, Connie Clay and Attie Brinson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Fortenberry, Robby Fortenberry, Kade Fortenberry, Louis Grady, Harold Murphy, and Aaron Wallace.

The family would like to express a huge THANK YOU and true appreciation for all the love, support, food, sympathy, and prayers on our loss of Wesley, but Heaven’s gain.
