All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Nita LeBlanc Whitaker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 28, 1962 Service Held Wednesday for Mrs. Whitaker Funeral service for Mrs. Nita LeBlanc Whitaker 73 was held at St. Edwards Catholic Church Wednesday at 10:30 with the Rev. Richard Lombard officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crother's Funeral Home. A rosary service was held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Whitaker died Monday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. A native of St. Gabriel, Mrs. Whitaker had resided in Madison Parish for the past 25 years. Survivors include her husband, Charles M. Whitaker, Tallulah; and a brother B. J. Leblanc, New Orleans. Pallbearers were Ralph Reed, Rhoda Hopkins, Bill Welch, W. W. Mills, R. L. Reynolds and Tech Fondren.
