Wells - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 3, 1983 Mrs. Mary A. Wells, 74, died Tuesday at her residence at Tallulah after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Revs. Alton Hodnett and Glen Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Wells was a native of McDonald, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for the past 29 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Homer E. Wells of Tallulah; seven sons, Charles E. Wells of Forth Worth, Texas, the Rev. Ray G. Wells of Ridgeway, Va., James R. Wells of Bandera, Texas, John B. Wells of Newellton, Wade Glen Wells of Houston and Cecil Wells and Henry Wells, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Rose Mary Busby of Tallulah: one sister, Mrs. Nell Green of Bourbonneuis, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two nieces. Pallbearers will be R. R. Mitchell, Sammy Byrd, W. E. "Sonny" Copes, Gary Killingsworth, Jesse Shoemaker, and Joe Williamson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. L. P. Neumann Jr. and staff of Madison Parish Hospital, Haworth Home Health Care nurses, Clay Crawford, Robert Crawford and Melvin Clark.
