Watts - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 8, 1977 George H. Watts, 71, of Tallulah died Monday at the Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss. following an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery here. Watts was a native of Mississippi, a resident of Madison Parish for 50 years, and a retired farmer and dairy man. He attended Montrose Baptist Church near here. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Henrietta Watts of Tallulah; one son, John Howard Watts of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Janie Lou Maxwell of Delhi; one brother, Shelby Watts of Mississippi; two sisters, Mrs. Phelda Ward of West Monroe and Mrs. Ethel Summerall of Pass Christian, Miss. ; and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Frank Maxwell III, Bill Arbuckle, William Reed, W. W. Ziegler, Jr., James Still and Pat Gilfoil.
