Watson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 13, 1993 Funeral services for Mrs. Meledia J. Watson, 78, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. David Herrington, Rev. Rodney Jackson and Rev. Alfred Jones officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson died Saturday at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe after a brief illness. She was born in Rosefield, La. and was a resident of Tallulah since 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie D. Watson and grandson, Glenn Edwin Watson. Mrs. Watson was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include seven sons, J. C. and Virgil Watson, both of Monroe, Cliff Watson of Berwick, Theo Watson, Leo Watson and Morris Watson, all of Tallulah and Shelby Watson of West Monroe; four daughters, Shirley Turner of West Monroe, Linda Carter of Monroe, Kathy Jordan of Birmingham, Ala. and Virginia Hornbeck of Franklin, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Neil Watson, Todd Watson, Roger Watson, Danny Ray Watson, Issac Watson Jr., Terrell Watson, Brian Carter and Jason Cartel
