All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Max Edwin Watson, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 5, 2000 Funeral services for Mr. Max Edwin Watson, Sr., 82, were held Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at the First United Methodist Church in Greenville, Miss. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, La., under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. Mr. Watson died at Adams County Nursing Home, Natchez, Miss., of heart failure. He was born in Blytheville, Ark., and moved to Tallulah where he graduated from high school. He then attended and graduated from Louisiana State University receiving his B.A. degree in accounting. In 1965 Mr. Watson moved to Greenville where he worked for Chicago Mill and Lumber Company in Greenville, Tallulah and Chicago, Ill., for more than 50 years retiring in 1987. In 1988 he moved to Natchez. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville. Survivors include his wife: Renate R. Watson, Greenville; two daughters: Margaret Watson, Starkville, Miss., and Amanda Parks, Greenville; one son: Max Edwin Watson, Jr., Nashville, Tenn.; three grandsons, Michael, Tyler and Daniel Parks, all of Greenville.
