All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Katie Snyder Watson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 26, 1960 Services For Mrs. Watson Held Here Sunday Afternoon Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Snyder Watson, who died at her home Friday night following a lingering illness, were held here Sunday afternoon at 3 p. m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. William S. Spilman officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. A native of St. Joseph, she had lived in Tallulah for 19 years. She was the widow of the late Tullos Watson, who was a prominent planter. She was also a sister of the late Jeff B. Snyder; who was quite prominent in business and political circles in Madison Parish. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and was past worthy matron of the Tallulah Eastern Star. Mrs. Watson served twice as worthy matron in St. .Joseph and at one time was the grand associate matron of the Grand Chapter of Louisiana. Mrs. Watson is survived by one son, Ernest Watson of Tallulah; six nieces, Mrs. W. K. Anderson, Clarksdale, Miss., Mrs. Perry Robers, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Alwilda Carter, LeCompte, Mrs. Ella Braunich, Miss Sadie Vickers and Miss Janette Vickers all of New Orleans Pallbearers were Rufus Yerger, Rod Naylor, Carroll Crow, R. A. Holstead, Henry C. Sevier, Jr., Elmer Neill, Jr., R. L. Farr and Mac Cagnolatti. Honorary pallbearers were all friends of the family
