Leo Watson of Tallulah passed from this life on Monday, November 20, 2017. He was 81 years old. Funeral services will be at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be two hours before the service from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.

Leo and his twin were born in Olla, Louisiana on August 29, 1936. He was a resident of Madison Parish since 1952. Leo was a graduate of Tallulah High School and Bish Mathis Institute for Business in Monroe. He was drafted into the U.S. Army. After his military service, he returned to Tallulah where he worked until retirement from LP&L and Entergy Corporation.

Leo was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Edwin; parents, Charlie and Meledia; brothers, Jeddie, Cliff, Theo, Morris, and brother-in-law, Earnest Turner. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leona Trim Watson; siblings and spouses, Virgil and Gail (Dupont) Watson, Shelby and Brenda (Gresham) Watson, Shirley Turner, Linda and Ronald Carter, Kathy and Ken Jordan, Virginia and Ron Hornbeck; sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith Watson, Sandra Naquin Watson, Maydell McManus Watson, Ola Belle Lipscomb Watson; aunt, Jane (Bush) Watson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Leo was a well known and much loved member of the community where he served as a volunteer fireman. He loved his family, his music, and his little canine buddies. Leo was always willing to help anyone in need. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a favorite with people everywhere.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Danny Watson, Todd Watson, Neil Watson, Brian Carter, Terrill Watson, and Jason Carter.

The family would like to thank Nadine Byrd and Angela Davis for the loving care they provided so that Leo could remain at home in his last year of life.
