All rights reserved. ******************************************************************************************** Katherine Joyce Bertram Vining Madison Parish, LA From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home July 1, 2017 Katherine Joyce Bertram Vining (Kathy) was 73. Kathy lived in Sondheimer, Louisiana. She was born July 2, 1943 and passed away in Jackson, Mississippi on June 27, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Kathy was born to Nesbit and Katherine Ann Arbogast Bertram on a farm in East Sparta, Ohio. Her family moved to Florida where Kathy attended school. In 1959 Kathy moved to Louisiana as a bride. She was employed with the United States Postal Service and served as Postmaster for many years. She attended Sondheimer Baptist Church and was very helpful at the events held there. Kathy loved to read, garden, travel and socialize, as she never met a stranger. Her memories shall be cherished by her two sons, John Edward Vining, Jr., and William Paul Vining, step-daughter, Sabrina Vining, her loving granddaughter, Katherine Louise Vining and step-granddaughters, Shelby Mejias, Skylar Mejias, and Tiffany Burnham, with whom she loved to spend time. Her brothers are John Bertram, Walter (Brenda) Bertram, Paul Bertram, Bud (Ginger) Bertram, Delmar Bertram, and (predeceased) Harry Bertram. Her sisters are Jean Archer, Susan Witte, Stella Marsh, Carol Roberts, Nancy Wakefield, Sharon (George) Wakefield, (predeceased) Betty Morrow and Marjorie Moss. She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana with Brother Billy Castilaw officiating.
