All rights reserved. ******************************************************************************************** Lila Farr Varner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home February 1, 2017 A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lila Farr Varner, of Tallulah, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Born November 11, 1929, in Natchez, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Louis Edward Farr and Florence Mae Farr. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter, Sonja Janice Cox. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-nine years, Jack Mervin Varner, Sr.; two sons, Jack M.Varner, Jr. and wife Karen, Gordon Kent Varner and wife Shari; four grandchildren, Trey Varner and wife Ashley, Beth Cox, Arla Cox, Jan Marie Avery and husband Michael; and the proud great-grandmother of Lofton, London, and Alexis Varner; Jackson and Thompson Fortenberry; and Mason Smith. Lila lived most of her life in Tallulah, Louisiana, graduated from Tallulah High School, and retired from Bell South after twenty-eight years of service. Lila was known for her smile, her positive attitude, her infectious laugh, and her loving arms. Everyone that knew her admired her for the sweetness that came from her heart. She truly cared about each and every person she met. Her family and friends feel blessed to have had her in their lives.
