Turner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 30, 1962 Rites for Local Residents' Father Held Wednesday Final rites were conducted at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home for Maurice A. Turner, 58, of West Monroe, who died Monday morning in a Monroe hospital after a short illness. A resident of West Monroe for the past two years, Mr. Turner was an automobile mechanic until ill health forced his retirement. He was a native of West Point, Miss., and had formerly lived in Tallulah. The Rev. A. T. Mitchell of West Monroe officiated and interment followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Surviving Mr. Turner are his widow, Mrs. Susie Turner; two sons, A. C. Turner, Shreveport, and Lewis Turner, Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Franklin Brown Tallulah; Mrs. Clyde Crane and Mrs. A. M. Bethea, both of West Monroe; and 16 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Earl Rash, C O. Neighbors, Wilbur Hattaway, Elijah Seffans, Pete King and Ez ????.
