All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ John Mathis Trichell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post December 19 2007 John Mathis Trichell died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at his residence. He was 61. Born in Delhi, La, he was the son of the late James Mathis Trichell and Organtra Mooney Trichell and a graduate of Tallulah High School. Mr. Trichell retired in 1982 from the Vicksburg Fire Department with the rank of captain with 13 years of service. At the time of his death, he owned and operated John's Barber Shop. Mr. Trichell was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald W. Trichell and James Grady Trichell. He is survived by his wife, Patricia R. Trichell of Vicksburg; a daughter, Sheri T. Ghrigsby of Vicksburg; a son, Sean Mathis Trichell of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, Sara Trichell, Ashton Ghrigsby, Josh Collins and Cami Ghrigsby; two sisters, Kathy Trichell Gilstrap of Monroe, La., and Dottie Trichell Battaglia of Columbia, La.; and a brother, Calvin T. Trichell of Marksville, La. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rushing, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Tallulah. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Riles Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Doug Upchurch, Peter Mims, George Lee, Martin Pace, Tommy Trichell, Jessie Baker, Claude King, Gene Perot and Donald Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and customers of John's Barber Shop. Memorials may be made to the Adia and Emma Brassard Fund for Schizencephaly, c/o RiverHills Bank, 2125 N.
