All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Bert Tower - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 25, 1955 Bert Tower Of Mound Laid To Rest Saturday Bert Tower, age 68, of Mound, died Friday morning in a Delhi hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a farmer and had been a resident of Madison Parish a number of years. Mr. Tower was a member of the Tallulah Church of Christ where services were held Saturday afternoon at 3 p. m. Rev. J. C. Martin officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Glenn Morgan. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Tower; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Barrett of Tallulah, and Mrs. C. H. Hodge of Mound; a brother, Clyde Tower, Rayville; a sister, Mrs. Rosie Cornald of St. Francisville, Illinois, and ten grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leon Secrest, Phil Grimes, R. C. Pryor, Carl Barnes, William Hopkins and Joe Clark.
