Tonore died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at her home. She was 87. Born in Greenville, Mrs. Tonore had lived in Tallulah before moving to Baton Rouge, La. five years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Louis Tonore Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Tonore of Baton Rouge; five sons, Gerald Tonore of Monroe, Louis Tonore of Baton Rouge, Bobby Tonore and Steve Tonore, both of Clinton and Greg Tonore of Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Gloria Kelly and Alice Duncan; three brothers, Paul Abide, Mitchell Abide and George Abide; and 12 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
