Thornton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 9, 1994 Funeral services for Mrs. Letha M. Thornton, 96, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Gaston officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Thornton died Friday in the Madison Parish Hospital. She was a Mississippi native and had lived in Madison Parish for 59 years. She was a housewife and member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Ray Kirby of Tallulah; two sisters, Alma Woods and Bertha Hopgood of Tylertown, Miss.; four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lee Musgrove, Donnie Remore, Armon Cox, Luther Bishop, Horace Russell, Chris Newell, Virgil Holder and Saniford Parker.
