All rights reserved. **************************************************************************************************** Alice Thornton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, September 12, 2009 TALLULAH — Alice Thornton died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 65. Mrs. Thornton was born in Rayville, La. She was a retired bookkeeper and housewife and was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Virgil Thornton of Tallulah; two sons, Ray Thornton of Tallulah and Michael Thornton of College Station, Texas; two daughters, Alicia Thornton and Cindy Williams, both of Tallulah; one sister, Dolly Dew of Springhill, La.; three brothers, Daniel Littleton of West Monroe and Jerry Littleton and George Littleton, both of Rayville; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Acts Tabernacle in Tallulah with the Rev. Greg Nichols, assisted by the Rev. Scott Wilson, officiating. Burial, directed by Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery.
