Thompson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 5, 1965 W. S. Thompson Wallace S. Thompson, 81, retired farmer of Madison Parish died in Madison Parish Hospital Tuesday after a long illness. A native of Smith County, Miss. he had resided here 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial was in Forest Community Cemetery. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Maggie Thompson: a son, Clifton Thompson of Lake Provi-dence; a daughter, Mrs. Bennie Byrd of Tallulah; three brothers, S. O. Thompson of Monroe, Marion Gus Thompson of Polkville, Miss., and Leland Thompson of Grapevine, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Ted J. Bazoon of Cleveland, Tex., and Mrs. Robert Lee Thompson of Grapevine; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were I. B. Byrd, M. A. Verhagen, E. H. Stewart, Charles Brown, George Hammett and Bud Sims.
