All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mavis Ross Thompson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 24, 1964 Services Held Recently For Mrs. Thompson Funeral services for Mrs. Mavis Ross Thompson, 46, who died last Thursday afternoon in a Vicksburg Hospital were held here last ???day afternoon at 4 p. m. Services were conducted from the Tallulah First Baptist Church with Rev. John Hurt officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Cupit-Young Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Murray, Pittsfield, Kansas and Mrs. Sherrill Graves, Tallulah; her mother, Mrs. Mamie Ross, Transylvania; one sister, Alma Angeline Estes, Winston-Salem, N. C.; six brothers, A??? Ross and Arlon Ross, both of Transylvania; Dumas Ross, Waverly, Hilton Ross of LaPasa, Texas, O. Ross, Jr., Grosbeck, Texas and Cletis Ross of Monroe; and ?? grandchildren. Pallbearers were Radha Hopkins, ???? Smith, Thomas Smith, Billy Ross, William Thigpen and ???? Knox.
