Thigpen, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 11, 1963 Services Held On Friday For P. B. Thigpen, Sr. Funeral services were held last Friday for P. B. Thigpen, Sr., 78, who died in a Lake Providence nursing Home following a long illness. He was the father of Joe Thigpen, Britt Thigpen, and Mrs. Annette Zagone all of Monroe. Services were held at 10 A. M. at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial was held at Hazelhurst, Miss. cemetery at 2 P. M. Mr. Thigpen was a native of Raymond, Miss., and resided in Madison Parish for the past 42 years. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist Church. Other survivors include a son P. B. Thigpen, Jr., of Tallulah and a sister, Mrs. Grace McFarland, Raymond, Miss.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Maxwell Yerger, Boss Martin, J. A. McDaniel, C. E. Goss, George Watts and Phil Grimes.
