All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Edith Moody Thigpen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 21, 1996 Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Moody Thigpen, age 83, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 1996, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel on Sterlington Road in Monroe. Rev. James C. Houston will be officiating. Visitation was Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Thigpen died Feb. 13, 1996, in Monroe, La. She was preceded in death by her husband P. B. Thigpen and son Arthur Thigpen. Survivors include two brothers, Roy Moody and Dewitt Moody, both of Monroe; three sisters, Elizabeth Moody and Muriel Durnin, both of Monroe, and Loyce Fike of Lafayette, La.; six granddaughters, Mitzi Purvis and Tina Duke, both of Memphis, Tenn., Pauline Hands, Michelle Golsby, Ann Shivers and Reva Pierce, all of Monroe; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
