Linda K. Taylor, 74, of Huntsville, formerly of Meridianville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday while surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Tallulah, Louisiana and was a graduate of Athens State University where she earned a degree in elementary education. She taught at Hazel Green Middle School for a number of years.

After retiring from education, Linda had a career as a Realtor in the Huntsville area. Linda was a Christian and was a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church. She had a passion for serving the Lord and children through Operation Christmas Child - working year-round along with her husband to share Christ's love around the world at Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud & Laverne King and by her son, Erik Taylor.

Surviving family members include her husband of 52 years, Wayne H. Taylor; Her daughter, Carmen Taylor (Buchanan); Her two grandsons: Taylor Buchanan and Braylon Buchanan; Her sister, Peggy Webb; Her two nephews, Mike Adcock and Keith Adcock; Her cat, Mister C.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Wright and Rev. Earl Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow the service and will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville.

Donations may be made to Downtown Rescue Mission or to Huntsville Hospital Foundation (specify Hospice Family Care) in her memory. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
