All rights reserved. ************************************************ Martha Lou Canady Swafford - Madison Parish, Louisiana Anderson (SC) Independent-Mail November 12, 2005 LONG CREEK - Martha Lou Canady Swafford, 49, wife of Billy Joe Swafford, of 258 Academy Road, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Tallulah, La., she was the daughter of Mildred June Walker Canady Garner of Winnfield, La., and the late Hardy Lee Canady. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by her sons, Robert E. Lee III and Hardy Olan Lee, both of Seneca, and Michael Bush of La.; daughters, Barbara Jean Lee and Michelle Barnes, both of Seneca; stepson, Joseph M. Swafford of Greensboro, N.C.; stepdaughter, Rachel V. Swafford of Long Creek; brother, Timmy Canady of Winnfield, La.; sisters, Millie Guin of Seneca, and Rita Larchney and Denise Cook, both of Winnfield, La.; two grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Long Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The body is at Davenport Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. The family is at the residence.
