All rights reserved. ************************************************ James Walter Stroud - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, June 5, 2005 ARCHIBALD, La. - James Walter Stroud died Friday, June 3, 2005, at the Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. He was 85. Mr. Stroud was born in Crowville, La., and lived in Tallulah for more than 50 years. He was a retired employee of Louisiana Power & Light Company, where he worked as a lineman and a B-Line construction man. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Parkview Baptist Church of Tallulah. He is survived by his nephew, David A. Singley Sr., of Archibald; a niece, Patricia Ann Harrison of Japan; and two great-nephews. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Cletus Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
