All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** George Stovall - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 26, 1936 George Stovall Is Fatally Hurt In Truck Wreck George Stovall, 14, was killed and his brother, Louis, 15, was injured when the truck on which they were riding wrecked Sunday afternoon. The boys, who were riding on the running board, were thrown into a barbed wire fence when Miss Clara Stovall, sister of the boys, lost control of the truck in loose gravel. The accident occurred near King's Store, 18 miles south of here. George, who had a punctured lung, internal injuries and a fractured leg, died shortly after reaching a Vicksburg hospital. Louis is being treated at the Stevens' Clinic here. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon with Rev. Alton McCready officiating. Interment was in Silver Cross cemetery. Surviving are the father, George B. Stovall, two sisters and three brothers.
