All rights reserved. **************************************************************************************************** Johnnie Stocks - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal 1979 Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Stocks will be Friday at 10 a m in the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home immediately following. Stocks died Tuesday in St. Dominics Hospital, Jackson Miss. after a long illness. He was a native of Ruston and a resident of Tallulah for the past 49 years. He was a former alderman and TV repair shop owner, a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church, Mason, a Shriner, Knight's Templar, a Royal Arch Mason, a member of the El Karubah Temple and a past chairman of the Arthritis Foundation. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Techla Stocks of Tallulah, a son; Lt. Col. John Stocks, Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Dorothy Jane Hatchell of Athens, Ga., a brother; Ernest N. Stocks of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Deason of Tallulah and six grandchildren. Other arrangements were unavailable at press time.
