All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Alberta Stocks - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 20, 1972 Rites held here for Mrs. Stocks Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Wednesday for Mrs. Alberta Stocks, 66, of Tallulah. The Rev. Crawford Williams officiated at the First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Providence Memorial cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home here. Mrs. Stocks died Monday at her residence following an apparent heart attack. She was a native of Delhi but had spent most of her life in Madison Parish. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Stocks of Tallulah; one son, J. C. Stocks. Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. G. E. Hatchett of Charleston, S. C.; four sisters, Mrs. Sally Leggett and Miss Gushen Land, both of San Bruno, Calif., Mrs. Floree Pollard of Clarksdale, Miss., and Mrs. Eula Wilkins of Tallulah; one brother, John L. Land of Tallulah; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were R. E. Brown, C. E. Walker, James Morris, Clay Crawford, Moss Christian and A. L. Harvey.
