Stinson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 4, 1984 Louis W. Stinson, 72, died Thursday at Tensas Memorial Hospital in Newellton after a short illness. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crothers Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. Edward R. Robertson officiating. Burial was in Natchez, Miss., City Cemetery. The Jacksonville, Fla., native had lived in St. Joseph for 20 years and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah. Mr. Stinson was a retired merchant and had operated Culligan Soft Water Service in Tallulah for several years. Survivors include his wife, Hettie M. Stinson of St. Joseph; a stepson, Thomas E. Anderson of Houston; a stepdaughter, Joan A. McPhail of Rayville, three sisters, Ruth Allen and Eva Stinson, both of Galveston, Texas and Dorothy S. Bradburn of Houston; four grandchildren; and several other relatives. Pallbeaers were Tom Anderson, Joe L. McPhail, Joe T. McPhail, Andy McPhail, Skip Allen and Walter Bradburn.
