Stewart - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 24, 1999 Funeral services for Mrs. Odessa "Dess" G. Stewart, 81, Tallulah, will be held March 25 at 10 a.m. in the Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Stewart died Monday, March 22, in the Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was born in Johnstown, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 56 years. She was a retired bank bookkeeper and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Home Gardener's Club, and Lake One Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include one son, James Edward Stewart, Holden, La.: two daughters, Joy S. Jackson, Tallulah and June S. Dowden, Lake Charles; eight grandchildren: 5 great grandchildren: two sisters; Elizabeth Lee, West Monroe, La., and Lonnie Tingle, Ringgold, La. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
