All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Adele Morris Stewart - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 5, 1964 Funeral Services For Mrs. Archie Stewart Thursday The death Wednesday morning of Mrs. Adele Morris Stewart, wife of Archie M. Stewart, prominent banker and business man of Tallulah, grieved her devoted husband and family and a host of friends here. Mrs. Stewart with her family moved to Tallulah 27 years ago, when Mr. Stewart opened Stewart Owen Hardware and Lumber Co. She immediately endeared herself to many, associating herself closely with the work of the Tallulah Methodist church. She is a past president of the Women's society. She is also a member of the Tallulah Book Club and served the past year as historian. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at four o'clock at the Tallulah Methodist church, with the Rev. Clark Bell of the Methodist Church and a former minister here, the Rev. Wilson Watson, officiating. Services at graveside in Garden of Memories cemetery will follow, with Crothers Funeral Home in charge. Survivors are her husband, Archie M. Stewart, a daughter, Mrs. Stephen Richardson of Franklinton, La., Lt. Archie M. Stewart, her son of Quantico, Va.; her mother, Mrs. J. W. Morris of Lewisville, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. R. G. Wells of Lewisville, Ark., Mrs. J. H. Powell of Poplarville, Miss., and Mrs. H. H. Waldrup of La Place, La. Three brothers also sur-vive her, John M. Morris of Camden, Ark., Herman Morris of Texarkana, Ark., and R. L. Morris of Lewisville, Ark. Pallbearers are A. T. Owens, Herbert Massey, Lloyd Shelton, Harvey Mounger, C. Woodyear, Lamar T. Loe, E. V. Clark and R. G. Waugh.
