All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Clara Abernathy Stava - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 16, 1997 A memorial service for Clara Abernathy Stava, age 82, was held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 1997, at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Nicholasville, Ky. Mrs. Stava died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, in Wauconda, Ill., after a long illness. She was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Tallulah and was the daughter of Dr. Berry and Grace Chapman Abernathy. Dr. Abernathy practiced medicine for many years in north Louisiana. Survivors include her daughter, Xxxale Loding of Wauconda, Ill.; her son, Lee Stava of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Genevieve Jacox of Dover, N.H., and Sallye Keyes of Richland, Miss., and a grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 3220 Lexington Road, Nicholasville, Ky. 40356 or to the Messiah Lutheran Church, 25225 West Ivanhoe Road, Wauconda, Ill 60084 in her memory. The family has requested that flowers be omitted
