All rights reserved. ************************************************ Douglas Robert Staer - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post October 21, 2001 TALLULAH - Douglas Robert Staer died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at his home in Tallulah. He was 58. Mr. Staer was a native of Bamber Lake in Lacey Township, N.J. He was a 1963 graduate of Central Regional High School and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Jersey Central Power & Light Co., at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Forked River, N.J., when he left to take a new position in Chattanooga, Tenn., in 1973. He was a member and past master of Hill City Lodge No. 603 F&AM in Chattanooga and active in the York Rite bodies 1996 when he retired and moved to Louisiana. He is survived by his older brother, Dennis O. Staer of Port Gibson, two daughters, Melissa Swanson of Tuckerton, N.J., and Sharon Staer of Davies, Fla., and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez.
