Spells - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post March 5, 1950 T. J. Spells Dies Saturday At His Home In Tallulah T. J. Spells, 70, died Saturday morning at his home in Tallulah after a long Illness. Mr. Spells, who was formerly a watchman, had lived in Madison Parish for the past seventeen years. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at the Baptist Church in Tallulah, The Reverend H. J. Taylor, of Kilbourne will officiate, assisted by the pastor of the church, the Rev. Shirley Briggs. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Spells leaves his wife. Mrs. Francis Spells, five sons, Frank Spells of West Monroe; Robert, Floyd, and Ira Spells of Tallulah; and Clayton Spells of Richmond. Texas; two daughters, Mrs. J. S. Cooper of Magnolia. Ark: and Mrs. H. F. Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Mary McCaril, of Shaw, Miss.; Mrs. Lela Harwell of Colal, Miss.: and Mrs. Sara Nokes of Neddleton, Miss.: and by fourteen grandchildren.
