Spells - Madison Parish, Louisiana From The Monroe News-Star (LA), Friday, March 28, 1958 TALLULAH (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Frances D. Spells, 69, who died here Wednesday night, were held today. She was a member of the First Baptist Church here and had lived in Tallulah for the past 25 years. Services were held at 10 a.m. today in the first Baptist Church with the Reverends J. B. Gray and William F. Mayo officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Spells is survived by four sons, Floyd and Robert Spells, both of Tallulah, Clayton Spells, Aransas Pass, Tex.; Ira Spells, Port Arthur, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Brown, Cleveland, Miss., Mrs. Malissey Cooper, Shreveport; a brother, F. W. Barnes, Delhi; two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Riley, Cleveland, Miss.; Mrs. Willie Ragus, of West Monroe; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were George Townsend, C. R. Drummond, J. A. Allen, Roy McCass, Edward Lewis, and Richard Marshall.
