M. Spells Dies Suddenly Of Heart Attack Mrs. Abbie Mae Spells died suddenly Friday morning in Houston, Texas, where she was visiting. Death was attributed to a heart attack to the 42-year-old Tallulah resident. Mrs. Spells had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 25 years and a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Irvin Cheney, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Delhi, under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband Robert Spells; one daughter, Mary Francis Spells; one son, Robert Spells, Jr., all of Tallulah; two brothers, J. W. Colvord, St. Paul, Minn., and Ruby Colvord, Glenmora, La.; one sister, Mrs. Ben McGowen, Oak Ridge, La.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Duyton Colvord, Shreveport, La.
