Sparks - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 21, 1985 Services for Robert L. Sparks, 91, were at 11 a.m. Friday at Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah, with the Rev. O.B. Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery. Sparks died Wednesday at Vicksburg Medical Center after a short illness. A retired farmer, he was a native of Scott County, Miss., a resident of Madison Parish for 63 years, World War I veteran, a member of the American Legion, Post 100 and a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewell Sparks of Tallulah; two sons, Emmett Sparks of Waverly, Albert Sparks of Tallulah; four daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Spikes of Waverly, Mrs. June Rhynehart of Tallulah, Mrs. Pauline Jordon of Tallulah, Mrs. Reta Vining of Sondheimer; one brother, John Sparks of Tallahatchie, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Nobles of Jackson, Miss., 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
