All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Verline Ritchie Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 29, 1983 Mrs. Verline Ritchie Smith, 50, died Monday at Richland Parish Hospital in Rayville after a short illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Xxxxday at Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville with Dr. Glynn Xxxxxx officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Smith was a native of Xxxxxxn, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah and was retired from South Central Bell after more than 30 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Newton E. Smith of Oak Ridge; two sons, Chuck Harmon of Dallas and Rodney Harmon of Tallulah; and a sister, Mrs. Wynona Wilson of Monroe. Pallbearers will be Stanley Harmon, Floyd Wall, Billy Files, Odis Bowman, Lloyd Ray Wilkerson and Alfred Horath.
